The Winter maintenance programme is well under way.
The greens have been roped off to protect the approaches. The quality of the greens surrounds has improved greatly over the last couple of years as a result of this policy.
The major structural change this winter is at the 7th hole. The gents teeing area has been redesigned and extended. A new forward tee has been introduced and the view from the tee has been improved giving a much better view of the landing area.
The old bunker on the right hand side of the landing area has been raised, again improving the playability of the hole. The path from the 6th green to the 7th tee has also been rerouted, maximising the magnificent views of Ballymastocker beach, Lough Swilly and the hills of Inishowen.
Another significant change underway is the removal of the mound to the front left of the 9th green, opening up the approach shot and making the green more accessible.
The bunker at the front left of the green has also been removed.
