Club News 18th November

Winter Works underway
The latest phase of the Portsalon Project 2030 is now underway, with works commenced to transfer the Par 3 12th hole into a Par 4.
From Tuesday, October 28th play will be 15 holes only until March, encompassing holes 1-10 and holes 14-18. No play is permitted on holes 11, 12 and 13 and players are asked not to enter the course at Kilavee while work is ongoing in order to comply with health & safety. 

Scramble and Presentation Night
There will be a four-person scramble on Saturday November 22nd (timesheet in operation) followed by finger food at 18.30 in the clubhouse that evening for members as a thank you to all those that represented the club this year on teams or as team captains. The evening is open to all, whether you were part of a team this year, or wish to be on one next year. We will also hold the presentations for the Club Matchplay events on the night.

Breast Cancer Fundraiser Draw
Lady Captain Roisin McCormack wishes to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who supported the Ladies Pink Draw in aid of Breast Cancer Research. The final total raised along with the competition Play in Pink, will be notified in due course.

It became a family affair when the tickets were drawn by Darragh McGowan of Ballybofey and Stranorlar Golf Club. The first name out was Jackie Barrett, the winner of the coffee machine. That was followed by his wife Mary Barrett in 2nd place. Congratulations to everyone.

Ladies Winter Links
The ladies winter links will be played on Thursday 27th November and the timesheet will open on the 20th November at 08.00.  This is a 15 hole competition while ongoing works continue on the course.

Ladies Christmas Hamper
Sunday 23rd November is the last opportunity for ladies to indicate their intention to play in the Christmas Hamper Competition on Saturday November 29th. Sign on the entry sheet in the ladies locker room with the €15 entry fee.
