Members Results
There’s no stopping, Lady Captain, Noreen at the moment, as she continues her winning form to claim yet another Members Competition with 35pts. Runner-up was Mary Barrett with 32points. Well done ladies.
Ladies Winter Links Competition 2023/24
Portsalon will host the very popular Ladies Winter Links open competition on Thursday 29th February. A busy timesheet is expected and some places are still available to book (Tel: 07491-59459 or book through the BRS System).

Super Sunday Seven Under for Ryan McGettigan
Sunday's Members comp in Portsalon saw Ryan McGettigan navigating his way around the course in a seven-under par round of 65 after nine birdies on his card.
He hit the ground running with a birdie at the first, but surrendered it immediately at the second. Further gains were made at the fourth, seventh and eighth to reach halfway in just 33 strokes, four below the card.
On his inward nine there were birdies at 11, 14, 16 and 17, with just a single dropped shot at the 13th, ensuring a round of 65 and a stableford score of 44 points playing off a handicap of one. An incredible bit of planting, by any measure, and a fine way to celebrate the first weekend of his 30s!

Lady Captain, Noreen wins members competition
Congratulations to Captain, Noreen McConigley, winner of the Members competition on Sunday 18th February with 36pts BOT, closely followed by Mandy Coyne with 36 pts.

Penultimate Ladies Winter Links Competition 2023/24
Portsalon will host the very popular Ladies Winter Links open competition on Thursday 29th February. A busy timesheet is expected and is available to book 1 week in advance.

Donegal Shield Team Club qualifier, Friday 29th March (Alt Day) and Sunday 31st March and qualifying players are asked to be available on the 20th April, for the  Donegal Shield Competition in Letterkenny GC’s competitions weekly, mats still in play!

​Inter Club Matchplay 
 
The Inter Club match play draws for the various Ladies and Mixed Team competitions have been announced by Golf Ireland and are available to view in the Locker room. Any players interested can add their names to the team sheet(s), also any members interested in taking on the role of Team Captain(s) for any of these particular events are encouraged to contact Lady Captain, Noreen, or any member of the Committee. Further information on these competitions can be found in the locker room. 

​Captain's Drive-In
Congrats to Captain's Noreen McConigley and Pat Horner on their successful Drive-In on Sunday morning. They were joined by President Donal Callaghan Snr in sparkling sunshine to get their year in office officially started.
Well over 100 golfers joined the Captain's in a four-person scramble afterwards, with Sheila Horner and Matthew Horner – wife and grandson of Captain Pat – forming the winning team overall with Roseanne and Diarmuid Logue.
The masses were treated before and after their golf, with breakfast baps served in the clubhouse from early morning and a feast of chunky sandwiches are warming soup after the golf.
