Christmas Hamper rescheduled for Sunday
With the frost replaced by an orange weather warning last weekend the Gents Christmas Hamper has been rescheduled a second time, now for this Sunday, December 17th.
Winter Rules
Winter rules are now in play for the next few months and there are a couple of changes.
FAIRWAY MATS
• Mat must be used when playing from the fairway.
• Mat must be used on any tee where you are using an iron.
• If the ball will not stay on the mat, move the mat to the nearest point, not nearer the hole, where the ball will stay on the mat. There is no penalty for a ball moving on the mat.
• A putter may be used anywhere without the need for a mat.
• Mats are available from the Proshop for a refundable fee of €7 on return to the shop.
Temporary Local Winter Rule
• Free relief is allowed only when a ball is embedded in part of the general area that is cut to rough height or less and revetted faces of bunkers only.
• A ball embedded in its own pitch-mark in the revetted face of a bunker, may be lifted, without penalty, cleaned and dropped, outside the bunker, as near as possible to where it lay but not nearer the hole.

All timesheets for members will go live 7 days in advance at 6 pm in the evening. Open Competitions will go live for visitors 6 days in advance.
